The weekly momentum review: thirty minutes that keeps everything moving

A repeatable thirty-minute rhythm for reviewing stalled, active, and advancing relationships so nothing quietly dies in your pipeline.

Practice: Habits and rhythms. How a team actually works, week to week. · 5 min read

Why the review beats the dashboard

Dashboards tell you the state of the world. A review decides what changes. The difference between teams that follow through and teams that intend to is almost always a standing thirty minutes on the calendar.

Keep it short enough that nobody dreads it and frequent enough that nothing rots between sessions.

Run it in three passes

First pass: stalled. Every relationship that has not moved in its expected cadence gets one decision — revive, park, or close. No discussion longer than a minute.

Second pass: active. Confirm the named next move and who owns it. Third pass: advancing. Ask what would make this the reference story you tell next quarter.

End with commitments, not notes

A review that produces notes produces nothing. A review that produces a named owner, a named move, and a date produces momentum.

In HopeClose, the guidance bar carries those commitments into the week so the review does not have to be remembered — it simply shows up as the next right move.

Bring momentum to your own context.

Start a context for your team, invite your members, and let HopeClose surface what needs attention this week.
